Don’t let your voice be missing from the conversation
If you want better schools for Wethersfield,
we need your voice loud and clear!
-
Attend a Meeting
You can find key upcoming Advisory School Building Committee meetings on our Events page and we’ll remind you of many of these when you sign up to receive emails from us. Most ASBC meetings are in Town Council Chambers at 7pm. You can also attend Town Council and Board of Education meetings too. Many public meetings are live-streamed and you can find the links from the Wethersfield website.
-
Give Public Comment
At most public meetings, there will be time at either the beginning, the end, or both for public comment. This is your time as a resident to say what matters to you. You’ll start by stating your name and address and then you have five minutes to share your thoughts, ideas, and questions. If you’re ever looking for a buddy to help you prepare for public comment, reach out and we’ll be happy to do that.
-
Write a Letter
We know not everyone can make it to public meetings. Whether you’re at basketball practice with your middle schooler or doing bathtime with your toddler, we want you to know that you and your family’s voices are still so important to this conversation. You can write a letter sharing the same thoughts, ideas, and questions that you would at public comment and email it directly to

Talk to your Community
Whether it’s your friends, family, or neighbors, nothing helps people support a cause like hearing about it directly from someone they trust. Start conversations wherever you can, in whatever communities you’re a part of, to let other residents know that Wethersfield needs new elementary schools to maintain our status as a thriving and beautiful town for families. If you’d like the PAC to speak to your group or set up a table at your event, reach out to us at wethelem2025@gmail.com
Upcoming Meetings
-
This special meeting of the ASBC will be held at Highcrest Elementary School cafeteria at 7pm. The ASBC is interested in hearing from the public, so show up and make your voice heard: tell the town that you support whatever decision moves this plan along the fastest and gets us to a YES in September.
-
While the plan for the elementary schools will not be on the Town Council agenda until after the FY26 budget is passed, residents are still encouraged to give public comment in support of the effort during public comment periods at the beginning and end of the meeting.
